🗡 Tactical Updates 🗡
- Beta Test Invites
The first wave of beta test invites have been sent out earlier today. If you signed up for the test, make sure to check the email you used to sign up (including spam folders) for instructions on the next steps.
If you weren’t one of the selected players, there is no need to worry, as we plan on holding additional beta tests in the future.
- Progressive Discount Purchases
As probably some of you have already seen (and tried out) we have released a new special discount feature when purchasing diamonds 💎.
Once a Diamond purchase is made, you will receive a popup containing a series of 6 discounted purchases. Each pack contains the same number of diamonds as the original purchase, but at a discounted price. The sixth purchase is a bonus and it is completely FREE. You love it? So do we!! Just keep in mind that if the purchase progress is interrupted for any reason, the process will reset and the discount will be interrupted.
- PvP Report Button
We really appreciate all the time that everyone puts in to help create a safer and fairer community, and this includes reporting players that are in breach of our terms of service.
In order to make the reporting process easier for everyone, we have added a button at the end of each PVP match that you can use to report any players breaking our code of conduct. Just tap the button next to their username at the leaderboard at the end of each game, select the report reason and fill in any relevant details. It’s an easier way for you to report “unholy” players and it will be a much easier way for us to “punish” them accordingly. Win - win, if you ask us!
⚔ Flashpoints ⚔
Resolved Issues
- Level 35 upgrade for all gears is available for all users. Make sure to update your app to the latest version!
- Squad War rewards should now arrive correctly.
- War chat now works correctly during squad wars.
- In certain cases the squad list wasn’t being loaded in “Find A Squad”. This has now been fixed.
Current Issues
- Premium+ is still unavailable for new purchases on iOS.
- The "Find A Squad" list doesn't get updated when swiping down at the bottom in order to load additional squads.
- Arena Challenge rounds are not granting +1 energy immediately in certain cases. Restarting the app will cause this Energy to appear.
- In rare cases, the Daily Deals timer occasionally displays abnormally high wait times.
- In rare cases, a mod's experience is not displayed correctly and/or takes a while to update after receiving a duplicate mod.
- If you attempt to join a Squad, and the Squad Captain changes this Squad from Closed to Open, you may not be able to join the Squad as the button freezes up.
- In certain situations, weekly pvp and world ops rewards might be stuck and not delivered correctly to the account.
- In very rare cases, a squad issue can prevent any of the squad members from entering the PVP Arena. Leaving or re-creating the squad fixes the issue.
- In rare cases, the promotion/demotion popup will loop infinitely after being kicked from a squad. Restarting the app, or clearing the app cache fixes the issue.
Player Support Delays
Players who got in contact with support might still be experiencing a lengthy delay in response. As with last week, we would like to recommend that, before submitting a ticket, you check our previous SitReps, as well as articles located in our FAQ.
📣 Squad Shoutout! 📣
This week’s 📣Squad Shoutout! 📣 features Perry0574, on behalf of his squad United Front.
When asked to tell us about this Squad, the following words greeted us:
"Some really great people I have met online like this. Respectful and polite people. They care for other players and will do what they can to help out. Just a bunch of great players. The kind of team that makes a difference and would do others good too."
Chriz also told us what exactly is it that makes United Front a unique Squad:
"The Captain No Pain does his team right and is a great Captain. I am thankful and blessed to have found them."
What do you think? With this level of camaraderie, they seem like a truly united front! Make sure to check them out if you have the time, and send them our greetings if you encounter them in the arena!
Remember that if you do wish to be featured in our bi-weekly SitRep and let your squad shine, all you have to do to submit your own squad. Simply click here!
📖 Sniper's Story 📖
In today’s sniper’s story we are going to spice things up a bit. While we usually reserve this section to talk solely about our sniper rifles, we’ve decided to bring in a special guest this week, the Armsel Striker.
The Armsel Striker, also known as Sentinel Arms Co Striker-12, Protecta, Protecta Bulldog, and Cobray was designed by an ex-Rhodesian national, Hilton R. Walker, in 1981, in South Africa. His shotgun, however, became a success, and was exported to various parts of the world.
Even with all its success, the weapon still had a few big flaws: the rotary cylinder-type magazine was very bulky, as well as having a very long reload time. Due to this, Walker redesigned his weapon in 1989, removing the cylinder rotation mechanism, and adding an auto cartridge ejection system.
The weapon's action is similar to that of a revolver. It uses a 12-round rotating cylinder, albeit a tad heavier, weighing up to 4.5kg while loaded. During the first iteration, to accomplish a shorter and lighter trigger pull, Walker had added a pre-wound clock-work spring to revolve the magazine, However, this is one of the reasons that made loading the weapon slow. This was later changed into a cocking lever on the right side of the barrel.
This is all we have for this week! Before I sign off, we also want to just take a second to thank you for caring, getting involved, fighting and playing our game! We couldn’t do it without you and Sniper 3D wouldn’t be the same without your support. 💚
Stay safe, sane and well. See you next week!
